• An interview with Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Saturday’s pre-printed TV guide said she portrayed Mary Seacole in a biopic (‘You can’t paper over the cracks of history. It will haunt you’, 25 July, What’s On, p2). In fact, this film was not released due to production delays during Covid. This error was in print only. • An article about iconic US photos said that 22,000 soldiers were killed in one day at the 1862 Battle of Antietam. In fact, this was the total number killed, wounded or reported missing (This is America, 4 July, Saturday magazine, p10). Also, the bomb dropped on Nagasaki was codenamed Fat Man, not “Big Boy”.…
