• Tributes to Kevin Keegan misplaced Newcastle United’s league positions during his time there as a player. The team finished fifth in Division Two in his first season, not seventh, and were promoted from third place in 1983-84, not as champions (Joy, tears, tension; A career like no other, 21 July, p36; p38). Also, Liverpool won the Uefa Cup in 1975-76 against Club Brugge, not in 1974-75 against FC Bruges as our obituary said (21 July, Journal, p10).
