The brief
• Owing to an editing error, an article (Burnham’s long and winding road to his overnight success, 27 June, p16) described the centre-left pressure group Compass as “Labour-affiliated”. While Compass was initially founded in 2003 for Labour party members only, since 2011 its membership has been open to all who support progressive policies, regardless of party affiliation. This error was in print only.
