Corrections and clarifications
The brief
• An article (Birth risks to mothers in England at record levels, NHS data shows, 29 June, p2) reported on figures for postpartum haemorrhage (PPH). To clarify: these were for cases involving at least 1,500ml of blood loss. PPH is defined as a loss of more than 500ml of blood, with above 1,000ml classed as major PPH.
