Wilkie contacts NACC over gambling bill, claiming government “improperly influenced” by wagering lobby Independent MP Andrew Wilkie has alleged that “individuals in the Federal Government” had been “improperly influenced by individuals in the private sector” in formulating the gambling legislation, writing to the National Anti-Corruption Commission with his claims. We’ve contacted the office of communications minister Anika Wells for response. Wilkie, the Tasmanian crossbencher, claimed he had “referred” the issue to the NACC.
