• The Conservative Political Action Conference chair is Matt Schlapp, not Mike as we misnamed him (Truss is back, with a new American import – a half-empty hotel room of C-listers and bores, 17 July, p13). • Today’s cryptic crossword gave the following clue for 6 down: “Person providing protection for country is working very hard (9)”. The word “country” should have been “state” (No 30,063, Journal, p8).
